Paul Akume is a visionary African builder, startup strategist, and business development consultant with over six years of experience driving innovation, growth, and transformation across startups and social impact ventures in Nigeria, Kenya, and the United Kingdom. He is the Founder of RACE Africa, a dynamic social enterprise committed to empowering young Africans through leadership development, entrepreneurship, and talent acceleration programs. Through flagship initiatives like the RACE Internship Program, Paul has supported over 1,000 emerging professionals in gaining real-world experience, building in-demand skills, and transitioning into the workforce with confidence and competence. Paul is also the Convener of the Innovation for Future Africa (IFFA) Summit, a high-impact platform that brings together young innovators, industry leaders, and institutions from across the continent to spark ideas, foster collaboration, and drive Africa’s future through innovation. In July 2025, he launched PIXLCO, a startup-focused initiative backed by the Nigerians in Diaspora ecosystem, designed to prepare early-stage founders for funding and scale. Through strategic advisory, investor readiness programs, and ecosystem building, PIXLCO is redefining how African startups access capital, mentorship, and global visibility. In addition, Paul serves as the Director (Home Support Nigeria) at the Diaspora Community Network (DCN) with headquarters in London United Kingdom, where he leads the design and execution of cross-border initiatives that connect the African diaspora to high-impact opportunities across the continent. In this role, he drives strategic partnerships, investment pathways, and development frameworks that position DCN as a bridge between global African talent, capital, and local transformation. Whether collaborating with C-suite executives, coaching youth leaders, or guiding founders to build scalable and sustainable models, Paul brings clarity, structure, and energy to every engagement. He is widely recognized for his critical thinking, strategy-first mindset, and compelling presence both on stage and in the boardroom.
